Ms. Katie Guevarra, is a 27-year-old bilingual entrepreneur from Middletown, Delaware. She attended Fordham University on a full academic scholarship, and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Studies. Passionate about helping women put their best foot forward, Katie is the owner of KG Beauty, a full service hair and makeup business, where she helps each of her clients enhance and share their own unique beauty with the world. Katie is no stranger to the glitz and glamour of pageantry. Having worked for an evening wear brand as a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator, Katie has years of experience with connecting countless titleholders in the Miss Universe Organization to their dream gowns. Her expertise in marketing has proven successful for the brand as her campaigns have been shared around the world on multiple platforms from social media, to print, to national television. Katie combines her passion for communication and flair for fashion through her lifestyle blog “With Love, Kat” which she uses to encourage self-expression, self-care and self-confidence.
During her reign as Miss Delaware USA, Katie will continue to promote her personal initiative: “Strength(in) Me,” which allows her to share her story as motivation and empowerment for girls not just across the great state of Delaware, but across the United States. Her heart for service is extended to many other charitable organizations, such as My Sisters’ Place, where she serves as an ambassador, and W Girl Chambers, which hosts prom dress drives and events that benefit economically underprivileged youth. Katie strives to leave a legacy behind that impacts generations of uplifted, encouraged, and edified young women to come.
When she’s not serving her community, Katie loves spending time with her family, where she is the youngest of three siblings, long distance running outdoors, catching up on her guilty pleasure (Law & Order: SVU!) and traveling across the state to find the best coffee in town! Katie has dreamed about walking the stage at Miss USA since she was a little girl and looks forward to representing the beautiful state of Delaware at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant live on FOX.
