Since her early years Stephanie has always been a strong leader, intellectual and independent. Born in Salem, NJ March 15th 1985 Stephanie spent a lot of her childhood on her Grandparents farm where she tended to her Grandmother’s garden, rode horses and loved to play outside. In addition to loving the outdoors Stephanie loved to entertain her family by performing poetry, singing and dancing.

Stephanie is a humanitarian who works to help improve the lives of others. She started working in the non-profit sector at 23 years old and never looked back. In 2014 she was acknowledged by YWCA Delaware and received the Genevieve Gore Young Women’s Leadership Award. Other awards include Chain’s Inc. Top 40 under 40 and North DelaWHERE’s Movers and Shakers. August 2020 Stephanie founded Black Girls Hike Too and quickly a network of women supporting women was formed. Black Girls Hike Too! afforded its founder an opportunity to be one of five BIPOC leaders selected for an inaugural Alaskan Expedition and she was able to hike, camp, and fly fish in the Alaskan Arctic Circle. In 2022, Be The Light Global, Inc. her non-profit and The Light Entertainment her for profit company was started. Amongst all her accomplishments Stephanie is most proud of being a mother to her 9 year old, Gabrielle Nicole. Looking ahead to the future Stephanie plans to travel the world spreading the message of women of color taking up space and benefiting from the healing powers of nature.
