The President's Volunteer Service Award

In 2003, the U.S. President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. This award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.

The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation.

Women in Leadership Development & Empowerment (WILDE), is pleased to be a Certifying Organization of PVSA, charged with the responsibility and honor to recognize our most exceptional volunteers and others who perform unpaid acts of volunteer service benefiting others.

During the Ignite HER – Women’s Wellness Luncheon, we will also recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity, by honoring some WILDE members and community leaders who have distinguished themselves with acts of volunteerism that positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation, and continue to  inspire those around them to take action, too. These women will be presented with the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA).
