Awardee: Dr. Marcelline Abimnui Nyambi

Dr. Marcelline Nyambi (Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and a Nurse Scientist) is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hampton Conference Center (www.thehamptoncenter.com), a premier banquet catering facility serving Maryland, Washington DC, and the Northern Virginia area. She oversees the facility’s entire operation, and she is passionate about event management, design, and decoration.

Dr. Nyambi is also the Chief Executive Officer of Hampton Party Supply Rental (www.hamptoncenterpartysupplyrentals.com). A full-service party supply rental company serving Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia.

Dr. Nyambi is also the Chief Executive Officer of Hampton Limousine (www.thehamptonlimo.com). A leading provider of luxury limousine services in Maryland, Washington DC, and the Northern Virginia area.

Dr. Nyambi also serves as the Co-Chair of Hampton Group International (www.hamptongroupintl.com). A global firm whose mission is to bridge cultures by importing and exporting goods and services and real estate management.

Along with her various business ventures, she is also a co-founder of the Vincent Kewala Nyambi Foundation (www.vknyambifoundation.org), a non-profit organization established in 2005. The foundation aims to support and empower orphans and persons living with HIV/AIDS and alleviate food insecurity and health disparities in the U.S.A. and globally. The foundation’s mission is to increase H.I.V. education and testing outreach to meet people where they are and to promote education about healthy life choices to achieve the highest health level for all people. The Foundation commitment is to help low-income and non-English-speaking persons, immigrants, and minorities get the necessary care. Dr. Nyambi also serves as an Advisory Board Member of Miss Ebony World. A humanitarian and pageantry platform that empowers women and strengthens and reunites communities.

 

Dr.Nyambi is a Nurse Scientist with a Ph.D. degree from the University of Arizona, specializing in global health, with a focus on HIV/AIDS testing perception among Sub-Saharan African-born Immigrants in the United States. She has been a recipient of many awards recognizing her philanthropic and community service efforts, such as the Economic Development Award from the Prince George’s African Diaspora Advisory Board, a Proclamation from the Prince George’s County Council, a Queen Esther Community Leadership Award from the Queen Esther Ministry, a Community Service Award from African Mirror Newspaper, Black History Maker Award from the Enon Baptist Church, Humanitarian Service Award from DeeDee Entertainment Awards, I AM SHE Arise Woman Award from the I AM SHE Women Power Conference, and WODESS Woman of the year 2016, to name a few.

 

Her family and friends describe her as driven, focused, disciplined, passionate, diligent, resilient, altruistic, and authentic. Dr. Marcelline Nyambi believes that success begins with purpose. When you understand your purpose, you achieve clarity; you gain a new paradigm about life, and you feel good about who you are, what you stand for, and where you are heading; an inner peace replaces the need to seek approval from others. Dr.Nyambi believes her purpose is to serve and be a channel through which the Divine brings about attainment, alignment, and activation in the lives of others. She believes we all have been called to use who we are and our inner power to elevate the higher good of someone else.

 

Dr. Nyambi currently lives in Maryland with her loving and supportive husband, Mr. Jude Nyambi, a seasoned entrepreneur, and their two beautiful children, Kewala and Venessa.
