Each year in the month of March, Women in Leadership Development & Empowerment (WILDE), celebrates Women’s History Month in recognition of the contributions of women globally to history, culture and society. We also acknowledge women who are paving the way, and creating seats at the table for other women to follow.
“Did you know? To coincide with Women’s History Month 2011, the White House issued a 50-year progress report on the status of women in the United States. It found that younger women are now more likely than their male counterparts to hold a college degree and that the number of men and women in the labor force has nearly equalized.”
On January 20, 2021, the world experienced another historic moment as the United States of America swore in its first Female, first African American and first Asian American Vice President, VP Kamala D. Harris.
WILDE is pleased to kick off this month long of celebrations as we hone on the theme of navigating challenging times together. There is no better time than now, to have these conversations on mental wellness, as well as cultivating innovative, diverse, inclusive and equitable communities and workforces for women and all.
