Lieutenant Colonel Phi T. Tran is the Clinical Training Element Leader, 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, Kadena Airbase, Japan. She oversees the clinical training activities for 117 personnel and collaborates with other identities on island to ensure completion of licensures and credential for the Squadron. Recently, Lieutenant Colonel Tran was the Primary Care Flight Commander, 1st Special Operations, Hurlburt Field, Florida before attended Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base. She commanded 50 members providing healthcare to 16,000 beneficiaries. Lieutenant Colonel Tran executed a $693K budget and oversaw business operations for 4 clinics, ensuring care worth $1.9 million.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran was born in Vietnam and raised in Huntington Beach, California. She received her commission in 2005, following her graduation from San Jose State University. Lieutenant Colonel Tran is board certified in Medical Surgical and Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. Her assignments have included clinical nurse positions in inpatient, outpatient, deployed and aeromedical settings.
