In 2009 she took a position at Delaware State University as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Facilities and has since been promoted to Director of Wellness & Recreation (2010) and most recently to Executive Director for Wellness, Recreation and Campus Events(2016).

Her love for sports began as a young child, where she excelled as a basketball and softball player. This love for sports continued when she attended St. Francis University of PA as a member of the Women’s Basketball team. She finished her athletic career at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management. During her graduate assistantship with the IUP Athletic Department she realized her love for working in sport at the collegiate level—specifically utilizing those interactions to better develop college students for a successful future.

In her roles at Delaware State University Williams has continued her passion for developing others by being heavily involved in the implementation of professional development efforts across campus. Along with creating a successful Graduate Assistant program and comprehensive student-staff development program for the Department of Wellness & Recreation, she has served as Chair of the Student Affairs Professional Development Committee since 2010, and leads team-building activities for departmental trainings and retreats across campus. Mrs. Williams is responsible for the operations of the Wellness & Recreation Center, Outdoor Court Complex, and MLK Student Center along with overseeing the Campus Events team that schedules and coordinates all room reservations on campus. Mrs. Williams has served on the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Taskforce since its inception in 2017 as well as the Title IX ERP Committee. She has been honored with such awards as the Vice Presidents Rising Star Award in 2012 and the DSU Risk Champion in 2017.
